2026 GLSCL Division Playoff Series Set to start July 27

TROY, Ohio - The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League playoff bracket is set for the 2026 post season. The teams participating are the South Division champion Grand Lake Mariners taking on the second place Hamilton Joes. On the other side of the bracket its the North Division and defending champion Lima Locos taking on the division runner-up Muskegon Clippers. The two winners of the best-of-three game series advance to the GLSCL Championship Series.

Below is the schedule for the 2026 GLSCL Playoffs:

North Division

Game #1 - Monday, June 27 - #2 Lima Locos versus #3 Muskegon Clippers at Marsh Field in Muskegon  - 6:35pm

Game #2 - Tuesday, June 28 - #2 Lima Locos versus #3 Muskegon Clippers at Simmons Field in Lima - 7:05pm

Game #3 (If necessary) - Wednesday, June 29 - #2 Lima Locos versus #3 Muskegon Clippers at Simmons Field in Lima - 7:05pm

South Division

Game #1 - Monday, June 27 - #1 Grand Lake Mariners versus #4 Hamilton Joes at Foundation Field in Hamilton  - 7:05pm

Game #2 - Tuesday, June 28 - #1 Grand Lake Mariners versus #4 Hamilton Joes at Montgomery Field in Celina - 6:35pm

Game #3 (If necessary) - Wednesday, June 29 - #1 Grand Lake Mariners versus #4 Hamilton Joes at Montgomery Field in Celina - 6:35pm

Grand Lake is the number one overall seed and will have home field advantage thought the entire course of the post season. The Mariners earned that right with a league best 33-9 record which ties three other franchises for most wins in a regular season. Its been a transformational season in Celina as the Mariners have struggled in recent years winning just 11 games in each of the two previous seasons.  

Lima just missed out of the top record in the league finishing 31-11 setting a franchise record for wins in a season. The Locos are looking for its second title in a row and its ninth overall. The Locos would tie the Columbus All-Americans for most ever GLSCL championship with a a league title in 2026.

Muskegon (22-19) jumped into the the number three seed thanks to a three-game series sweep over the Michigan Monarchs in the final weekend of the season. The Clippers, who were league runners-up in 2024, missed the playoffs last season by mear percentage points.

Hamilton (21-19) fell to the number four seed after dropping two-out-three games to the Mariners in the final weekend of the season. The Joes, who last won the league title in 2024, have won five GLSCL Championships since joining the league in 2009.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The GLSCL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity that is one of 12 members of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball (NACSB). The league currently consists of eight active franchises in Ohio and Michigan boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
