Grant Jolly wins the GLSCL Pitcher of the Week
Grant Jolly from the Lima Locos who is a redshirt freshman at Marshall University is the GLSCL Pitcher of the Week.
GLSCL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - July 13, 2026
Grant Jolly - Lima Locos - Marshall University
Grant Jolly threw a two-hit shutout in a seven-inning complete game during an 8-0 win over the Xenia Scouts on July 11. Jolly only need 82 pitches disposing of the Scouts by recording six strikeouts and allowing just one walk.
Jolly improved his record to 3-0 on the season with 27 strikeouts in 25.1 innings or work on the season. He improved his ERA on the season 2.49 in six appearances this summer. Jolly is the only pitcher is the GLSCL this season to record a complete game and a save.
The Wapakaneta, Ohio native redshirted his freshman season this past spring at Marshall University. He was the Western Buckeye League (WBL) Player of the Year for Wapakaneta High School in both his sophomore (2023) and senior seasons (2025).
HONORABLE MENTION - Pitcher of the Week
Eli Wagner - Hamilton Joes - North Greenville University
Eli Wagner deserved a much better fate in his start against the Lima Locos on July 7. Wagner had the Locos locked up for six and 2/3 innings striking out 11 Lima batters. The Joes committed a costly error on a routine play that should've been the game's final out. Wagner was lifted after throwing 118 pitches with runners on the corners and watched helplessly in the dugout to the Locos score four unearned runs snatching away the victory. The left hander from Crestview Hills, Kentucky scattered five hits giving up just two walks and two unearned runs.
Luke Stevens - Michigan Monarchs - Grand Valley State University
Luke Stevens pitched five and 1/3 innings striking out a season high 10 strikeouts in a 10-1 win over the Southern Ohio Copperheads on July 11. Stevens, who leads the GLSCL with 40 strikeouts this season, gave up just one run, two hits and two walks.
Braylon Sheefel - Flag City Sluggers - IU South Bend
Braylon Sheefel made three appearances out of the Flag City bullpen pitching six innings while giving up just one run on four hits. Sheefel went four innings in relief in a 4-2 loss to the Grand Mariners on July 11.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The GLSCL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity that is one of 12 members of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball (NACSB). The league currently consists of 8 active franchises in Ohio and Michigan boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
