Ben Meyers wins GLSCL Player of the Week
Ben Meyers from the Muskegon Clippers who is a committed to Aquinas College is the GLSCL Pitcher of the Week.
GLSCL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - July 13, 2026
Ben Meyers - Muskegon Clippers - Aquinas College
Ben Meyers hit for a .421 batting average (8-for-19) slashing for a .560 on-base percentage and an .842 slugging percentage. Meyers had 16 total bases in 19 at bats with two home runs, two doubles and four walks. The GLSCL all-star starting outfielder drove in seven RBIs, and scored six runs.
Meyers is third in the GLSCL with a .371 batting average. He's also in the top 10 in several other offensive categories including hits, doubles, runs scored, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.
The North Muskegon native recently finished his second season at Lake Michigan Community College. He is committed to play next season to play baseball at Aquinas College

Cameron Spezia - Flag City Sluggers - Oakland University
Cameron Spezia hit .389 for the week going 7-for-18 at the plate with one home run and 11 RBI in five games. Spezia also had a .444 on-base percentage and .722 slugging percentage with 13 total bases. Spezia was 4-for-5 on July 7 against the Xenia Scouts and had two other games with three hits.
Sean Krueckeberg - Grand Lake Mariners - Ashland University
Sean Krueckeberg hit .385 (5-for-13) with a .692 on-base percentage and .846 slugging percentage. Krueckeberg hit two home runs and just missed on hitting two more during the Mariners 6-0 week. He has nine RBI in 13 at bats as Grand Lake extended its winning streak to 18 games.
Ryder Kirtley - Hamilton Joes - Miami University
Ryder Kirtley hit for a .400 batting average going 8-for-20 in six games. Kirtley added a .500 on-base percentage and an .850 slugging percentage to his slash line. He drove in seven RBI, scored four runs and stole three bases. Kirtley was recently announced as the starting shortstop for the South Team in the upcoming GLSCL All-Star Game.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The GLSCL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity that is one of 12 members of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball (NACSB). The league currently consists of eight active franchises in Ohio and Michigan boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
