Alex Dues wins GLSCL Pitcher of the Week
Alex Dues from the Grand Lake Mariners who is a rising junior at Marietta College is the GLSCL Pitcher of the Week.
GLSCL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - July 6, 2026
Alex Dues - Grand Lake Mariners - Marietta College
Alex Dues made four appearances out of the bullpen for the Grand Lake Mariners in six games picking up three saves. The Mariners went 6-0 on the week giving Dues plenty of opportunities to shine for his team. The submarine right hander pitched six shutout innings giving up just two hits and two walks while recording five strikeouts.
On the season, Dues is 4-0 with a GLSCL leading fives saves in 15 appearances all out of the bullpen. Dues has 22 strikeouts in 22 innings of work allowing just nine walks with a 3.27 ERA.
The Fort Recovery, Ohio native finished his second season at Division-III powerhouse Marietta College. This past spring Dues appeared in a career high 13 games throwing 23 innings with a 1-1 record and 1 save. Dues help lead Fort Recovery High to the 2024 OHSAA Division-IV state runner-up finish his senior year.

A.J. Park - Muskegon Clippers - Davenport University University
A.J. Park has continued to be an anchor of the Clippers pitching staff after another fine performance this past week. Park made two appearances, one of which was in a start recording a win over the Flag City Sluggers in June 30. Park went six shutout innings scattering four hits striking out six batters and not allowing a walk. In eight total innings, Park recorded nine strikeouts giving up just one run on seven hits.
Wyatt Dion - Lima Locos - Central Florida
Wyatt Dion pitched six innings improving his record to 2-1 on the season in a 3-1 win over the Michigan Monarchs on July 1. Dion gave up just one unearned run with five strikeouts and two walks giving up three hits.
Luke Stevens - Michigan Monarchs - Grand Valley State University
Luke Stevens pitched five shutout innings combining with two other Monarchs hurlers for an 8-0 shutout over the Xenia Scouts on July 4. Stevens gave up just two hits and one walk while striking out a season high eight batters.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The GLSCL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity that is one of 12 members of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball (NACSB). The league currently consists of 8 active franchises in Ohio and Michigan boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
