Cameron Greene from Southeastern Louisiana University and Tyler VanSumeren from Kennesaw State University both of the Lima Locos share the GLSCL Player of the Week
GLSCL Co-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - July 6, 2026
Cameron Greene - Lima Locos - Southeastern Louisiana University
Cameron Greene is the GLSCL Co-Player of the Week. Greene hit for a .571 batting average going 12-for-21 at the plate with a .654 on-base percentage and an .857 slugging percentage in six games. The Locos went 6-0 for the week including outscoring the Southern Ohio Copperheads 46-10 in three games over the weekend including driving in six RBI on July 3. For the week, Greene hit three home runs with 14 RBIs, scoring 15 runs with 18 total bases and four stolen bases.
Greene currently leads the GLSCL with a .403 batting average and is second with a .653 slugging percentage. His stat line included three home runs, 11 RBIs and seven doubles for the season.
The Brentwood, Tennessee native just recently committed to Southeastern Louisiana University after spending two seasons at UT Martin. In 2025, Greene was named to the Ohio Valley Conference All-Freshman team, the first Skyhawk player named to the all-freshman team since 2018. This past season Greene played in 46 games with career-highs in batting average (.292), runs scored (34), hits (47), doubles (11), triples (2), home runs (nine), RBI's (33) and slugging percentage (.553).
Tyler VanSumeren - Lima Locos - Kennesaw State University commit
Tyler VanSumeren is the GLSCL Co-Player of the Week. VanSumeren hitting for a .579 batting average going 11-for-19 at the plate in six games. VanSumeren had two home runs and 13 RBI with seven runs scores and 18 total bases. VanSumeren had his best game of the season on July 3 with two home runs and eight RBIs. He had an 11-RBI day for the double header against the Copperheads. His eight-RBI game for the Locos was the most in a GLSCL game since 2021.
On the season, VanSumeren leads the Locos with 25 RBIs. He's third on the team with a .329 batting average.
The Tifton, Georgia native is an incoming freshman on his way to Kennesaw State University after a decorated career at Tift County High School.
HONORABLE MENTION - Player of the Week
Isaiah Domey - Muskegon Clippers - Michigan State University
Isaiah Domey hit .400 for the week going 10-for-25 at the plate with one home run and five RBI in six games. Domey's slash line included a .464 on-base percentage with a .560 slugging percentage. Domey had three multi-hit games including having three hits and scoring three runs in a win over the Flag City Sluggers on July 1.
Forrest Day - Grand Lake Mariners - Centre College
Forrest Day hit .571 (8-for-14) with a .625 on-base percentage and .714 slugging percentage. Day played in five of the six Grand Lake wins during the week as the Mariners stretched its winning streak to 12 games. Day had four multi-hit games with four runs scored and two stolen bases.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The GLSCL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity that is one of 12 members of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball (NACSB). The league currently consists of eight active franchises in Ohio and Michigan boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
