Jackson Urenovitch from the Flag City Sluggers who is an incoming freshman to Bowling Green State is the GLSCL Pitcher of the Week
GLSCL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - June 29, 2026
Jackson Urenovitch - Flag City Sluggers - Bowling Green State University
Jackson Urenovitch earned two victories this past week out the Flag City bullpen as the Sluggers went 5-1 for the week. In his two relief appearances Urenovitch pitched a total of seven innings giving up just one unearned run and five hits with eight strikeouts and just one walk. He went four and 2/3 innings on June 27 in an 8-4 win over the Michigan Monarchs. The right hander ties a season high with six strikeouts.
Urenovitch has made five total appearances, his first three being starts and has a 4-1 record with a 3.29 ERA. In 20.2 innings or work, Urenovitch has 20 strikeout with nine walks giving up 17 hits and nine earned runs. His four wins is tied with two other pitchers for the most this year in the GLSCL.
The Whitehouse, Ohio is an incoming freshmen committed to play baseball at Bowling Green State University. Urenovitch was a multi-sport star at Anthony Wayne High School helping lead the Generals to the OHSAA D-II baseball state championship as a junior in 2025.

Taylor Seay - Grand Lake Mariners - Arkansas State University
Taylor Seay continues to be one of the top pitchers in the GLSCL for the South Division leading Mariners. Seay pitched five shutout innings scattering four hits with five strikeouts and one walk in 10-0 win over the Southern Ohio Copperheads on June 27. Seay ran his scoreless streak to 13 innings dating back to June 18. The Lake Jackson, Texas native, who has pitched for both Angelina College and Texas State University and is committed to Arkansas State, is second in the GLSCL with a 1.74 ERA.
Brody Mann - Southern Ohio Copperheads - Ohio Dominican University (transfer portal)
Brody Mann threw his second consecutive complete game in a 3-0 victory over the Muskegon Clippers on June 24. The three-hit shutout marked the his first victory of the season. Mann recorded a season high six batters allowing just two walks. The Ashville, Ohio native just completed his freshman season where he threw six innings in eight appearances at Ohio Dominican University and now is in the transfer portal.
Trey Tipton - Xenia Scouts - Cedarville University
Trey Tipton did his part snapping the Xenia Scouts five-game losing streak during a 4-2 win over the Flag City Sluggers on June 24. Tipton, who is a two-way player from nearby Cedarville University, went seven strong innings giving up just two runs on four hits striking out a season-high eight batters. The Louisville, Kentucky native is 3-1 on the mound with 21 strikeouts and just six walks on the season.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The GLSCL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity that is one of 12 members of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball (NACSB). The league currently consists of 8 active franchises in Ohio and Michigan boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
