Matthew Aldridge wins GLSCL Player of the Week
Matthew Aldridge of the Grand Lake Mariners from Pitt Community College is the GLSCL Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.

Matthew Aldridge - Grand Lake Mariners - Pitt Community College
Matthew Aldridge is the GLSCL Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks. Aldridge hit for a .500 batting average going 12-for-24 at the plate in six games. The Mariners went 6-0 for the week with Aldridge finishing his slash line with a .538 on base percentage and an .875 slugging percentage. Aldridge also hit two home runs, driving in eight RBI with two doubles, twelve runs scored and stealing three bases.
On the season, Aldridge is hitting for a .351 batting average leading the GLSCL with six home runs and 31 runs scored. He's also in the top three in RBI (22) and slugging percentage (.740).
The Greenville, North Carolina just completed his freshman season at Pitt Community College. Aldridge hit .378 with nine homers and 59 RBIs playing 41 games for the Bulldogs in both left field and at first base.
Aldridge becomes the first multi-time weekly award winner in the same season since last year when Jaxson Christ of the Hamilton Joes was a two-time Player of Week honoree.

Isaiah Domey - Muskegon Clippers - Michigan State University
Isaiah Domey hit for a .368 batting average going 7-for-19 at the plate with two home runs and four RBIs. Domey hits home runs in two separate games against the Lima Locos including one that gave the Clippers an 8th inning lead on June 26. Domey scored the walk off game-winning run from third base in that same game on a sacrifice fly.
Miles Mitchell - Flag City Sluggers - University of New Orleans commit
Miles Mitchell went 8-for-23 at the plate hitting .349 over six games for the Sluggers. Flag City was 5-1 for the week thanks in part to Mitchell's late innings heroics. Mitchell had the walk off hit on June 26 against the Michigan Monarchs and the go-ahead RBI in the 10th inning against the Monarchs in June 28. He totaled eight RBI reaching base 16 times with eight hits and eight walks.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The GLSCL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity that is one of 12 members of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball (NACSB). The league currently consists of 8 active franchises in Ohio and Michigan boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
