Jimmy Dionne wins GLSCL Player of the Week
Jimmy Dionne of the Lima Locos who plays at Purdue University is the GLSCL Player of the Week
GLSCL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - June 22, 2026
Jimmy Dionne - Lima Locos - Purdue University
Jimmy Dionne hit for a .438 batting average (7-for-16) in four games for the Lima Locos who went a prefect 7-0 on the week. Dionne has 12 total bases on the way to a .750 slugging percentage. The Locos first basemen drove in eight RBI with a home run, two doubles and three runs scored over the course of four games.
On the season, Dionne is hitting for a .437 batting average going 15-for-49, leads the GLSCL with seven doubles and is third in the league with 15 RBI. The left handed hitting first basemen leads the Locos with a .551 slugging percentage.
The Quebec City, Quebec native just completed his first season at Purdue after transferring in from Howard College in Bring Spring, Texas. Dionne appeared in 29 games for the Boilermakers hitting .263 in 38 at bats.

Bo Solley - Xenia Scouts - Harding University
Bo Solley hit .463 (6-for-13) in five games this past week (June 16 through June 21) for the Xenia Scouts. Solley had a .570 on base percentage and a .538 slugging percentage reaching on three walks with three stolen bases. Solley went 3-for-3 with three runs scored driving in five RBI for Xenia in the Scouts 12-6 win over the Muskegon Clippers on June 18.
Atticus Hufstuttler - Flag City Sluggers - University of Akron
Atticus Hufstuttler went 8-for-21 hitting .380 with a .625 on base percentage in five games for the Sluggers. Hufstuttler did most of his damage on June 18 in the second game of a double header against the Southern Ohio Copperheads. The Flag City catcher went 5-for-6 with a double and six RBI in an 18-3 blowout of the "Cheads."
Caden Thelen - Muskegon Clippers - Grand Valley State University
Caden Thelen hit for a .320 batting average going 8-for-25 at the plate in six games. Thelen, who leads the GLSCL with 26 RBI on the season drove in a single game high seven RBI for the Clippers against the Hamilton Joes on June 17. Thelen was 3-for-6 that day with two home runs and a double for 11 total bases in the Clippers 12-6 win over the Joes.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The GLSCL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity that is one of 12 members of the National Alliance of Collegiate Summer Baseball (NACSB). The league currently consists of 8 active franchises in Ohio and Michigan boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
